When a dynamic, fast growing St Helens food manufacturing company recognised that its website was past its sell by date, it approached the Chamber to see if any help was available to spice it up. The answer was yes, and our Business Growth Grant helped fund its brand new, state of the art website.
Foodpack Ltd produces a wide range of ambient foods branded in both its own label and the labels of many of the leading retailers and brands in the UK.
Sharon Winder, HR Business Partner at Foodpack, says
“We have a massive range of products, from breakfast cereals, crisps, to dry pasta sauces and cake mixes, and many others. With the expertise and state of the art equipment we have in house, there’s very little that we can’t produce”
“The one thing that was letting us down” continued Sharon, “was our website. It hadn’t been touched in fifteen years, and it showed. It was very wordy, clunky and did nothing to reflect the modern, forward thinking, fast moving company that we are.”
The Chambers Business Growth Grant can provide up to 35% towards qualifying projects. With a quick and uncomplicated application process, work soon began to bring the company’s website visions to reality.
“As a team, we did a lot of research to see what was around, and what type of website we wanted. The website guys spent a lot time in the factory, seeing what we’re about, filming, taking pictures and talking to members of staff. Once we all knew how we wanted it to look, they went away and built what we think, is jaw-dropping website”
The Foodpack website is now live. Click on www.foodpackltd.co.uk to see how an eye-catching, slick and informative website is the perfect way to showcase a business to the world.
Brimming with enthusiasm Sharon says,
“We are extremely pleased with the new website, it’s eye-catching, punchy, and the photographs are great. Turnover is increasing, we are getting new customers on board, and creating new jobs. The website has really helped with all that by increasing brand awareness”
The Business Growth Grant is funded by the European Regional Development Fund. It is available to businesses operating in, or moving to St. Helens.
