Knowsley-based Spraymark operates throughout the north west, applying road markings to highways, carparks, industrial units, distribution centres and schools. Since the firm’s inception in 2014, Spraymark has continued to go from strength to strength and has attained an impressive client portfolio which includes Cambrianway Limited, Veolia Environmental Solutions and Stena Line Ferries.
Finding the company in a position to strive for further growth and with an objective to ensure the company could compete for public sector opportunities, company secretary Christine Clark contacted Knowsley Growth Hub to establish if there was any support available to help the company achieve their goals.
The company was enrolled onto the Business Growth Programme, where a dedicated officer was assigned to identify key growth priorities. As the business wanted to gain direct work from the public sector, it was identified that it would benefit from a review of its in-house quality systems combined with an introduction to tendering. As part of the Business Growth Programme the business was referred to the New Markets 2 Programme to enable them to achieve Sector 7 industry standards in order to compete directly for tenders. These programmes are part funded by ERDF.
Christine Clark, explains, “We didn’t know this type of support was available for small businesses like us and after meeting with Knowsley Growth Hub we have grabbed every opportunity to enable us to achieve our vision. Our advice is to reach out to your local growth hub to see if they can help you.”
