Accu-Right Engineering benefits from Invest Sefton and supply chain support
Accu-Right Engineering is located on the Port of Liverpool, in Bootle. The business was established in 2014 and in rotating equipment repair, fabrication and welding. It has a fully integrated machine shop offering a 24-hour mechanical breakdown service for manufacturers and shipping companies.
In 2014-15, its first year of trading, Accu-Right achieved a turnover of £600,000. Turnover for its second year was over £1 million, with further growth projected for 2016-17. The company’s growth has come through its winning new contracts with a large OEM and being appointed UK distributor for Grundfos low energy pumping systems.
The business was assisted by Sefton’s growth hub Invest Sefton with locating premises in Bootle, tendering for contracts and market research, and was introduced to the LCR Future Energy Programme. The programme is aimed at helping SMEs in the Liverpool City Region to maximise their sales of products to the renewable energy supply chain.
Accu-Right has since invested in staff development and training and has recruited staff and an ILM apprentice through Sefton@Work, Sefton Council’s employment service. In 2017, they were nominated for the All Party Parliamentary Responsible Business Champions Award.
