All Systems Go At Azure Liquid Solutions

With a massive product range and booming sales figures, a local company recognised the need to improve its systems in order to keep up with the demand for its goods. Help was at hand through the Chamber’s Business Growth Programme, and a cost-effective management control system now ensures that the company’s customers get what they want, when they want it.

Azure Liquid Solutions Ltd provides liquid solutions to both commercial and domestic customers. The commercial sectors it supplies include engineering, building, chemical, cosmetic, cleaning and many more. Operating from its factory on Haydock Industrial Estate, the company’s roots are firmly established in the chemical industry, giving it access to an extensive supply chain for the high quality raw materials needed.

Sarah Singleton, Managing Director, says: “The business has grown quickly, and our systems were beginning to creak under the pressure.

“There’s a lot of administration involved in controlling and monitoring orders, invoicing and stock control. I knew I had to streamline the system and also reduce the possibility of human error.”

The restrictive cost of a purpose built software system eliminated that option. However, following an assessment with a digital technology consultant through the Business Growth Programme a solution was identified.

Sarah says: “The consultant was fantastic, really knowledgeable and a good trainer. She went through our systems and looked at every way that we could improve it. The best thing is that every solution she came up with was bespoke to my business.”

Funded by the European Regional Development Fund and St Helens Council, St Helens Chamber’s Business Growth Programme is designed to help businesses operating in the B2B sector who want to grow and take on new staff.

Following a conversation to identify any issues standing in the way of your growth ambitions, the Chamber’s Business Advisers put together a bespoke action plan for your business. Companies will then receive fully-funded advice and support from Chamber Business Advisers and specialist business consultants, offering practical solutions to achieve their goals and improve their competitiveness.

Sarah says: “The amount of time saved is huge, information is available to all concerned at the click of a mouse, and human error has been all but eliminated. I would go as far as to say the support has been business changing.

“I would definitely recommend it to other businesses, the whole process is really straightforward. I never thought it would possible to improve our systems so much without spending a lot of money. I think it’s something every business should look at.”
