Arredatore expands with Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund support
Arredatore trade as The Christmas Decorators, and are a franchise operation of nationwide company ‘The Christmas Decorators’. The franchise covers the Liverpool City Region and parts of Preston and Wigan.
Arredatore began trading in 2011, and have continued to grow steadily. In 2016 they doubled their turnover to £680k, from £335k in 2015. The company’s shares are owned by Managing Director Paul Lally and Financial Director Alan Adams.
MSIF have loaned Arredatore a five-figure sum from NPIF – BFS & MSIF Microfinance which has a focus in the North West. The money will be used towards the costs of relocating to their new premises in Aintree, which will incorporate a showroom to showcase their products and services. It will also help with the employment costs of 3 additional members of staff to service the increase in demand.
Arredatore offers clients a complete and bespoke project management service which incorporates the design, installation, maintenance, removal and storage of decorations and lighting.
The majority of their work is with commercial businesses which include corporate entities, local authorities, hotels, restaurant and bars, including Liverpool and Everton football clubs and Liverpool John Lennon Airport. They also decorate private homes for high net worth individuals and cater for weddings and parties.
Paul Lally said: "With the security MSIF have given us we can begin increasing our turnover even more and developing strategic partnerships with like minded businesses.
Being the second time we have used MSIF, we knew what they required in order for them to help us. When you finally get the approval, it feels like vindication that you are actually doing something right and you are running your business properly."
Sue Chambers, investment manager at MSIF who managed the investment, said: “It was great to work with Paul and Alan. Arredatore have an excellent reputation in the region and their portfolio to date is impressive. Their growth over the past few years reflects the increasing demand for their services; and the fact that they have been able to grow at this pace is a testament to the quality of their work."
